Exemplary Center for Reading Instruction emphasizes individualized instruction, positive reinforcement, and constant assessment of children’s mastery levels. Students work in small groups with others performing at their level. Teachers are given strategies for developing phonics and word structure skills as well as comprehension and writing strategies.
