Student Teams-Achievement Divisions
(Now Disseminated as Power Teaching by the Success for All Foundation) (Mathematics)

Elementary School

Power Teaching has strong evidence of effectiveness for elementary school mathematics. The four qualifying studies included in this review showed effect sizes of +0.19, +0.01, +0.60, and +0.40.

Middle/High School

Power Teaching has strong evidence of effectiveness for middle/high school mathematics. Across four qualifying studies included in this review, the weighted mean effect size was +0.42.

About Power Teaching

Power Teaching is a cooperative learning program in which students work in four-member heterogeneous groups to help each other master academic content. Teachers follow a schedule of teaching, teamwork, and individual assessment.
